MedQuest 2008 Dates

MedQuest Health Careers Exploration Program is a week full of career development and asset building activities on a college campus and in the surrounding health care community. MedQuest participants will explore the variety of careers and opportunities in health care, shadow health care professionals in their work setting, and strengthen skills and resources for health careers development.

Selected area high school students (residents of Addison, Chittenden, Franklin or Grand Isle counties), recommended by a school professional, live in a University of Vermont residence hall, eat on campus, have access to University of Vermont resources, and shadow health professionals in their work setting.

Participants can gain basic medical skills while working with the newest technologies, participate in leadership workshops and other self-esteem and asset building activities including job shadowing. They can even become certified in CPR and first aid.
