Regular Housing Policy
CVAHEC will arrange housing
for eligible students/residents participating in a rural rotation in Vermont
if the rotation
is at least 25 miles (one way) from campus. CVAHEC needs at least one month
to schedule housing.
If you would like to be provided with housing during your off-campus rotation, you should make your request by contacting Tammy Johnson, CVAHEC Data Manager, at TJohnson@cvahec.org or by calling 527-1474 x13.
Emergency Housing Policy
For eligible students/residents who have not requested housing, CVAHEC has an emergency housing provision.
While students
must arrange for their own emergency housing, they may be reimbursed for
emergency housing up to 3 nights during a rural rotation, not to exceed $150
in total reimbursement (with documentation) for the rotation. Students may
use emergency housing and still submit a travel voucher for a rotation.
If you need to submit an emergency housing voucher, contact Tammy Johnson, CVAHEC Data Manager, at TJohnson@cvahec.org or by calling 527-1474 x13.
An eligible student/resident attends
the UVM College of Medicine (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN,
Pediatrics, and Senior Selective), Nursing
(Graduate, Undergrad, Nurse Practitioner), Physical Therapy, Social Work
(Masters), or is in Residency Training (Family Practice, Internal Medicine,
OB/GYN,
Pediatrics
and Dental Residents).
