The Champlain Valley AHEC is a member of the University of Vermont (UVM) Statewide AHEC Program. Funding support for the Champlain Valley AHEC is provided by the UVM College of Medicine through contributions from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Fletcher Allen Health Care, Vermont's Community Hospitals, the University of Vermont, and the State of Vermont.

Vermont's AHEC Program is a statewide network consisting of the Northeastern VT AHEC, the Champlain Valley AHEC, the Southern Vermont AHEC and the UVM College of Medicine.

Pathways to Health Careers

Apply by September 24

Take the Next Step! is a weekend conference for high school youth who have significant health career exploration experience and want more support to develop their career plans.

Join 100 motivated high school youth for two days of speakers, workshops, skill-building sessions and team exercises. Learn more about specific health careers, what work is like in different careers, skills that every 21st century health care professional will need, and how teens are improving health in their communities today.

The conference will be held Saturday, November 8 at 9:00 a.m. through Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont.
